‘Chelsea Will Not Win Title If They Lose Diego Costa’- Premier League Legend Says

Graeme Souness has warned Chelsea they risk missing out on the Premier League title if they
lose Diego Costa.

The future of the striker has been thrown into doubt after he was dropped from the squad to face Leicester on Saturday.

It is understood he had a row with manager Antonio Conte and has been the subject of a £30m-per-year offer from a club in the
Chinese Super League.

Costa has been in superb form this season, with his 14 goals helping Chelsea open up a
five-point lead at the top of the table.

But Sky Sports football expert Souness believes the Blues' title bid could be derailed if they lose the striker.

"This is the very last thing Chelsea need.

He is playing out of his skin. They lose him and all of a sudden they are not going to win the Premier League," he told Sky Sports News HQ.

"If sense prevailed, maybe he could stay until the end of the season.

There has to be a way
around this where everybody can be happy." Costa joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid for
£32m in 2014 and has scored 50 goals in all
competitions.

His contract is due to expire in the summer of
2019.
